We offer full manufacturer training on all of our Dark Matter aircraft (typically 1 full day) so our customers can become familiar with the aircraft assembly, flight characteristics and controls.

This conversion-to-type training is conducted by our most knowledgeable and experienced aircraft engineer and enables pilots to become confident with their new purchase.

  • How long does it take to receive my Dark Matter drone(s)?

    Estimated lead time will be on your quotation and tends to be 4 to 6 weeks for a standard  RTF system. 

    If you require some customisation, we would advise to discuss this with our sales team to define what needs to be done extra. In this case or for volume orders, the lead time will be recalculated and delivery schedule agreed with you.

  • Do you ship internationally?

    Absolutely! 

    Standard quotations are given ex-works, so that you can arrange for your own shipping if you prefer. 

    We are happy to arrange for the shipping ourselves and aim to use the best courier available to reach your destination, please just ask for details.

    NB: Export restrictions can apply.

  • Hexacopter or Quadcopter?

    Our hexacopter has more redundancy and payload capacity and is best suited to operations nearer from people or where the payload value requires it.

    The quadcopter is an excellent choice as well and benefit from years of development on our hexacopter.

    Both platforms are designed and manufactured in the UK.

  • How weather resistant are your drones?

    The Dark Matter models were desiged with weather resistance in mind. 

    All electronics outside the core are IP rated and the drones, as standard, can operate in light precipitation. 

    With the extra weather resistance upgrade, you can confidently fly in precipitations of up to 10mm/h. 

    Both in-house testing and real world operations ensure you can use your drones in winds up to 12m/s as well.

  • What kind of Manufacturer Training do you offer?

    Manufacturer training can be tailored to your needs.

    Standard Manufacturer training is up to 1 day for 2 people at Clogworks premises or remotely and is designed for experienced remote pilots.

    Extensive Manufacturer Training can be several days long, for more participants and allows for more hands-on flying. It can also be delivered at your premises.


  • Can you help me gain additional authorisation?

    We have helped many customers tailor their drones to specific National Aviation Authorities requirements. 

    We can help you supply technical data about the drones needed by the regulators.  

    We can also help with the UK OSC process and comply with the new CAP722v2.

  • Can I rent a Dark Matter UAS?

    This is a service we only offer to UK customers at present.
